Dark Chocolate French Silk Pie Recipe
When it comes to delicious tasting desserts...I am all about the chocolate! My online friend Awnya Boam sent over this delicious looking recipe for me to share with all of you. I think it would make the perfect dessert for any family gathering or during the holidays.
Dark chocolate French silk pie
you will need:
1 pie shell
1 small box chocolate pudding
1 small container whipped topping
1 dark chocolate candy bar
almonds (optional)
Bake pie shell for the designated time. While the shell is cooking, break the chocolate bar into small pieces. Use a knife to chop it if necessary. Immediately upon removing the pie shell from the oven, place the chocolate bits into the hot pie shell. When the pieces are soft, use a spoon to spread the dark chocolate evenly on the bottom and sides of the pie shell. If you would like the almonds, chop them and place them in the bottom of the shell while the chocolate is still warm. Put the pie shell in the fridge. Make the pudding according to the instructions on the box. Let it sit for 5-6 minutes so it sets up. Fold in whipped topping. I like to add the entire container, but add as much as you like. When the chocolate in the pie shell has cooled, dump the pudding mixture inside the pie shell and chill in the fridge. For decoration you can add dark chocolate curls or shavings on the top of the pie or a dollop or whipped topping. Serve and enjoy.

Guest Blogger Recipe - Holiday Punch By Awnya Boam
If you are looking for a fabulous punch recipe to make during the holiday season then I think you will be pleased with this recipe by Guest Blogger Awnya Boam. What I really like about her punch recipe is that you can use whatever flavor of Kool-Aid is your favorite. I am looking forward to making her punch recipe come New Years Eve!
Holiday Punch
1 cup sugar
1 pkg Kool-Aid (orange, tropical punch, strawberry or cherry all work well)
12 oz frozen juice (grape, apple, or orange are all yummy)
3 qts water
2 liter of sprite or 7-up (ginger ale works too)
Be sure that your Kool-Aid/juice combination sound like they will work well together. Mix everything except the soda. Mix that in just before serving. If you are serving in a punch bowl, you can make an ice mold to float in the punch to keep it cool and pretty.

Guest Blogger Recipe - Heavenly Mashed Potatoes By Awnya Boam
Today I am sharing with you a recipe from one of my Twitter friends named Awnya Boam. Since the holidays are quickly approaching, I asked Awnya to share some of her favorite holiday recipes with us. I am looking forward to trying out her Heavenly Mashed Potatoes Recipe Below. This recipe will feed 6-8 adults.
Heavenly Mashed Potatoes
16 potatoes
4-8 oz of cream cheese (soft)
salt and pepper (to taste)
1/3-1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter or margarine
Peel, chop and boil potatoes until tender. Drain the water and put potatoes in mixing bowl. Add milk, salt and pepper, butter or margarine and mix until smooth. Add cream cheese and mix until completely mixed in. I like to go with the smaller amount of both the cream cheese and milk and then add as desired. The cream cheese makes the mashed potatoes really smooth and creamy and the leftovers (if there are any) will taste just as delicious.

Thanks Awnya for sharing your Heavenly Mashed Potatoes recipe with us!

Milk Chocolate and Peanut Butter Fondue Recipe
I love making fondue...especially choclate fondue! This recipe is really easy to prepare and you only need a few ingredients. You can dip fresh fruits, crackers or pretzels into this fondue or make the fondue and serve over vanilla ice cream.

1 cup heavy cream
6 ounce (3/4 cup) of milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter, smooth or chunky

Reduce heat to low and add the chocolate and let stand for 2 minutes until softened and begins to melt. Stir with the saucy silicone spatula (tm) until melted. Gradually stir in the peanut butter and continue stirring until fondue is smooth. Transfer to the Tupperware (tm) ceramic fondue pot and keep warm.
Serve immediately with sliced bananas, marshmallows, cookies, pretzels or apples.

Thanksgiving Dessert ~ How To Bake A Pumpkin Cream Cheese Cake With Recipe
Thanksgiving Dessert - How To Bake A Pumpkin Cream Cheese Cake
When it comes to making a dessert for our Thanksgiving holiday meal, I enjoy baking a homemade pumpkin cake with a delicious cream cheese filling.
This cake will take some time to make, but your time will be well spent. I guarantee you that you will get a lot of compliments from your family and friends once they taste it. If you have any left-overs, you will want to store them in an airtight container inside your refrigerator.
Pumpkin Cake Recipe
Cake Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup butter, softened
3 large eggs
3/4 cup solid packed pumpkin puree
1/2 cup cold milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a deep dish cake pan with nonstick vegetable cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda and salt, until they are well combined; set aside. In another large bowl, cream together the granulated sugar and softened butter, until they are creamy. Add in the eggs, pumpkin puree, milk and vanilla extract, beating well after each addition. Slowly add the flour mixture into the wet ingredient mixture, mixing well until all ingredients are combined.
Cream Cheese Filling Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
In a medium-sized bowl, whip together the softened cream cheese with the granulated sugar until smooth. Spread 2 1/2 cups of cake batter evenly over bottom of your cake pan. Spoon cream cheese filling evenly over the cake batter. Carefully spread it across the cake batter using a silicone or rubber spatula. Spoon remaining cake batter over cream cheese filling, spread evenly using a silicone spatula. Bake in your preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the cake tester comes out clean. (test the center of the cake.) Cool completely before adding the topping.
Topping Ingredients:
confectioner's sugar
frozen whipped topping, thawed
A few minutes before serving the pumpkin cake, sprinkle your desired amount of confectioner's sugar on top. Cut cake into desired serving pieces and top with a dollop of whipped topping.
